Member BenefitsWhat does the Chamber do for its members and community? The Zebulon Chamber of Commerce is committed to serving its members and all Zebulon citizens. Because our town is small and our funding is limited, we depend upon our corps of Chamber volunteers, known as Ambassadors. These dedicated men and women give countless hours of their time to expand the Chamber’s reach into the community. The primary focus of the Chamber’s effort is three-fold: Member Services, Economic Development, and Quality Education. Member Services includes monthly networking events, as well as educational seminars and business-related promotions such as ribbon-cutting or grand-opening ceremonies. We also offer Chamber-specific advertising opportunities to our members via our weekly and monthly c
 ommunications, and our print directory. We will soon offer Web site advertising as well. In 2007, the Board of Directors demonstrated its commitment to the expansion of Member Services by creating a part-time position devoted solely to this function.Economic Development is critical to the prosperity of our businesses and our residents. The recent completion of the new limited-access Highway 64 and the extension of I-540 are expected to accelerate the growth in East Wake. The Chamber will continue to play an active role in the town’s economic future by focusing on the strength of local business and industry. Quality Education goes hand-in-hand with a prosperous economic outlook. Present and future business leaders rely on quality schools in order to attract high-caliber workers. Recognizing this vital link, the Chamber works closely with the area’s education leaders, including the East Wake Education Foundation and the East Wake Business Alliance. More recently we have begun to partner with Junior Achievement. By focusing on Member Services, Economic Development, and Quality Education, the Zebulon Chamber of Commerce is committed to a healthy business climate and a healthy community in general. Because we rely entirely on the financial backing of our members, we believe that each and every Zebulon organization should contribute to these essential goals.
